We didn't have much of a class today because we were out enjoying a presentation on YPI.
devoirs: read "Voyage dangereux"; from the story, write down 10 French words that look like English words, and 10 new words to you with a translation. Answer questions 1-5 about that same story on that same page.
This document also has the brainstormed vocabulary that we plan to use in the article we make.
devoirs: Create an article/story about the bande dessinée given in class; use the brainstormed vocabulary, or add to it with your own ideas. You should have 2 sentences in the passé composé per picture in the story. Don't forget to correct your test and get it signed for bonus marks tomorrow!

carillonneur: Think about a crime. What is it? Who are the main suspects? When did it happen? Where did it happen? Why did it happen or why might those suspects be involved? What actually happened the day/night of the crime (detailed description of the crime)?
. Complete question 1 a-f on p50 (above). Add to your vocabulaire supplémentaire if you haven't already (using your tableaux from the stories and cahier p34 about l'informatique). If you're the "chosen one" --> don't forget to type up the story you and your group continued today from cahier p30.

, study for your passé composé quiz tomorrow!You'll need to know HOW to form the passé composé (two parts), conjugation of avoir, your participes passés (réguliers et irréguliers), HOW to form the negative with NE...PAS, HOW to change the sentence from présent to passé composé, and HOW to answer the question "Qu'est-ce que tu as fait hier/le weekend passé/la fin de semaine passée?".
. Use your present tense verb chart and your passé composé note to help you! Add any words from your tableau of the story and cahier p34 to your vocabulaire list.

activité: We finished and discussed our sentences we started yesterday. We talked about what makes a good sentence and things to check for when writing one (verbs and nouns agree, adjectives and nouns agree, description, tells me what the word's about)
orale: We talked about the tv shows we watched yesterday.
écoute: We matched up pictures with sentences and listened to a scene to put together the last scene of the tv show Cris et frissons --> livre p30-1
activité: Together we worked to create sentences using our vocabulary words.
devoirs: get your markbooks and tests signed; correct your test using your notes; study for your vocabulary quiz tomorrow.

vocabulaire: complete the translation into English; complete the vocabulary activities in the booklet; write out the French vocabulary words 3x each, and the English meaning 1x on a separate piece of paper; write 5 EXCELLENT sentences with 1 vocabulary word for each sentence - don't forget, it needs to demonstrate the meaning of the word! :) Write these 5 sentences in your journal. This is to be done for Friday!
tâche finale: DUE TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! Make sure you bring all rough copies, a copy of your script so that I can follow along with your presentation, your poster/billboard to advertise your produit/service, your video in at least 3 different ways to be sure that it will play, props if you're doing your presentation in front of the class (or in case your video doesn't work), and maybe your produit.
We had our quiz on les verbes réfléchis and we completed some of our dialogues. The rest will finish on Wednesday!

Don't forget - it's not about memorization. You need to know how to listen and answer specific questions, as well as ask specific questions. Follow the guidelines of the assignment! :)
We practised for our conversations Monday --> here is a list of POSSIBLE questions (these are only possible and they can be changed/added to, but it's a great guide!):
Remember - conversations are a two way street, so be prepared to ask me questions too! As a side note, no papers will be allowed, as we're making it a real conversation. These conversations will be happening MONDAY and WEDNESDAY next week.

We had conversations about descriptions of our friends and family members.
We talked about our favourite pastimes and recorded them in this chart for reference. Use it when you write about your pastimes, talk about them, or if you have a question as to what one is.
Make sure tonight that you are going through and rewriting your assignment with the changes your partner made. Email me if you have any questions! This second draft must be done for tomorrow.

Create your own family tree. You may do this by hand or on the computer, but please do not use my template. Please make sure it is colourful, with pictures (of you and your family, or that you draw, or that you print out), and it is neat. It can be large or as small as a regular sheet of paper. Hand it in on Monday and don't forget to include your rough copy too!
